The grandfather of Odile, who brought her vines to the Hudelot-Noellat domaine in 1978 when she married Alain, Charles Noellat was one of the first to cultivate the parcel of Romanée Saint Vivant located just below Romanée Conti . The Domaine Charles Noëllat is a magnificent estate of just ten hectares, an anthology of the finest Burgundy appellations. With a terroir made up of exceptional Vosne Romanée soils, this estate is extremely popular, so much so that half of it was acquired by Lalou Bize-Leroy in 1988, then co-manager of the prestigious Domaine de la Romanée Conti .
Now legitimately owned by the Leroy family, the wines of Domaine Charles Noellat are produced in very small areas and are an integral part of the legend of rare Burgundy wines.
Gustatively speaking, they are highly sensitive and have an exceptional ageing complexity. This is a prestigious Burgundy wine!
